Met a Velo Bella on yesterday’s training ride. Beautiful pink Kona bike and matching kit (she wasn’t too hard on the eyes either). She bragged that she has a reputation for beating “boys” up hills and even has one of those ‘ding-ding’ bells on her bike that she rings as she goes past.
Challenged her to the top of a short rise, but she said she was turning left. I kept at it and she excused herself saying that she still had an 8-mile run to finish that day.
Right… She took one look at my legs and decided against it. I’m sure of it
