23.36m: Simulated Crit

My first race is a 30-minute Criterium on a dead flat course. To train for it I decided to do two laps on my TT route around Miramar lake which should come in at around 45 minutes. I didn’t feel super fast and my first lap time was a full 25 seconds short of my PR. I figure if I do this at least once a week then maybe I can get my two-lap average faster than my PR. Sure would hate to get dropped on my first race.

Forgot that today is a holiday for many people so there was a lot of pedestrian traffic on the route. I sure wish no one had invented those extendable dog-leash things. I guess that’s another post…
