I wanted to call the SAG wagon and just end my misery.
I was 10 miles from home and over 40 from the start. I just wanted to do a quick ride to the coast and back, but after a near-record setting time up Torrey Pines I decided that pain is temporary and quitting is forever so I continued on to Mt Soledad.
The thing is, I raced my first time-trial yesterday and I’ve got my first crit race Wednesday night. If I trash my legs today then I will, for sure, get dropped Wednesday.
I weigh the decision carefully. Romy is home sick and will not be happy if I call for a pickup. But getting DQ’d on my first race in front of friends and family!…
