For the second year in a row, the Descenders won the Stagecoach Century Team Time Trial by setting a new course record of 4:59:30!
That’s Dave, Dave, Dave and Rick. There are 9 Dave’s on Team Descenders.
The Descenders are a San Diego cycling club that rides mostly in the Poway area. They’re famous not only for their impressive performances at the Stagecoach TTT, but also for their annual Monster Climbs trips in which they head to the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains for a weekend of leg-breaking, lung-busting climbs. Last year, we climbed over 22,000 feet over 140 miles in just three days.

Congrats to the Descenders! A very admirable time.
The team that I caught was much more relaxed than what is posted in the picture. I believe one of the guys in the team I saw was the 3rd from the left in the “Founders” picture on the Descenders website, wearing the “Limoges St Flour” shirt and he spoke with an accent.
