Chair No. 1 is part of Donna Wilson’s Abstract Assembly collection.
Made from Douglas fir with solid oak butterfly joints, it is hand-painted in water-based paint and finished in a clear, natural lacquer.
Stemming from an urge to satisfy her creativity, Abstract Assembly represents a new direction for Donna.
She took some time away from her busy life to draw and paint by the sea, with no idea where the journey might take her. The resulting sketches and watercolours gradually took form as the three dimensional wooden objects which make up the Abstract Assembly series – three chairs, four mirrors, two sculptures and a bench.
Each piece of the collection is unique and made to order. Produced using traditional joinery techniques, every edition will be hand-painted by Donna in a bespoke colour palette, creating a unique object for each customer. For this reason, our normal return policy does not apply.
